The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development will allocate billion euros for the projects of “green” energy and provide help in training staff for oil and mining industries. In the meantime, the focus will be put on the support of inclusivity and gender equality, EBRD Vice President Elizabeth Nelson told State Secretary Gulshara Abdykhalikova. The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development is one of the largest investors to the economy, 24.kz reports.
222 projects for more than 7 bln dollars were sold during these years. As Gulshara Abdykhalikova noted, in Kazakhstan, the great support is provided to women: the loans, amounting from 3 to 18 mln tenges, are disbursed under the productive employment program. Their recipients are mainly the residents of rural area. The program “Women in Business” is successfully realized, it covers more than 7 thousand subjects. At the end of the meeting, Gulshara Abdykalikova invited EBRD’s Vice President to participate in the international forum “Women for Energy of the Future”.
The forum will be held in Astana from August 31 until September 1. More than 300 female politicians from the countries, global leaders in green economy. As well as representatives of public bodies and business ladies of the country.

The main focus of our work is the regional coverage of distant locations of the country, in order each Kazakhstani had opportunity to be involved in high technological production. The standards for the skills and qualifications in these areas as well as trainings for those, who want, will be developed. We would like to involve the private sector in the economic development; women and youth are in priority. We have a gender team, who will work on developing a strategy until 2030.
